  1. Any TaylorMade. I use a 12° 360R which is very easy to hit but I lose a lot of distance because of the loft. I've spoken to others who've tried Ping, Callaway and Wilson drivers and they all ended up sticking with a TaylorMade.

I'm planning on getting a TaylorMade Burner or R7 now. I know a couple of people with the Burner and they say it's forgiving and gets plenty of distance. Another friend has just got an R7 so I'm going to try them both out and see which one suits me best.

I don't think you can go wrong with either of these but if you can, try them out first.

Also, if you can get the club second hand, you can get great value as clubs don't really deteriorate unless they've been treated badly which will be obvious.

  2. It depends on the price you are willing to spend. If you have money then buy a new brand name driver that makes you hit well, if not then i would look for a demo driver in good condition from a golf store. Got my Cobra Speed Ld for only $125 when it was going for $300 new, barely a scratch on it.
