What would be a good toy for her? Loves balls but she smashes or pops them.

  1. Try Air Kong Squeaker or Air Kong Football.  Stick with Kong product.  Usually tough enough for mastiffs

  2. something sturdy

  3. basketball!!  Even when popped, they're fun for the dogs!  Depending on how much you like your neighbor... you could also do a tether ball, haha  kind of expensive for another persons dog, but our mastiff LOVED it

  4. I'm a really big fan of the Planet Dog orbee tough toys.  My lab mix is a big chewer.  Chew, chew, ruin, ruin, destroy.  These are some of the only toys he can play with and not demolish, and they are rated based on how much or how strong of a chewing they can take.  Top rating for chewy-ness is 5 chompers out of 5, and I only get him the 5 chompers rated toys now.

Muttropolis also carries some tougher dog toys, though I would avoid ANY plush toys.  A tough plush toy is still going to be demolished in short order by a heavier chewer.

EDIT: I just realized that some of his planet dog toys are only rated 4 out of 5 chompers, but he's had them since May and they are showing no sign of falling apart any time soon!

  5. At that age, my Mastiff had moved onto real footballs and basketballs, but also enjoyed his hard, giant Kong ball.  We stayed away from ropes, and tug toys because not only would he rip them apart in minutes, but we didn't want them to bring out any kind of aggressive behavior.
