Want to get in shape but have bum knee

hi im 16 and really want to get in shape but i suffered a serious knee injury and had surgery. what kind of stuff can i still do to loose body fat with a bad knee

  1. Don't be asking the general public!  Ask your doctor what type of exercises you are capable of doing to avoid re-injuring your knee.  He/she will most likely be able to guide you professionally.


  2. You can talk to a physical therapist or a doctor about what kind of excercises will help you with your knee and help you get fit. Sertain excercises will help strengthen your knee and allow you to run and do cardio without a lot of pain. I'm kind of in the same situation only I was born with a screwed up knees. When I do my physical therapy it helps my knees not hurt all the time and allows me to cardio and running without a lot of pain.

  3. believe me I know your pain....I had a torn ACL.....I really like the elliptical machines as the stress is greatly reduce.  also do light weight training and lots of reps to strengthen.  actually they also recommend high reps low weight for weight loss......
