Driving distance from London. Away from the shops, crowds, want to go for a nice lunch in a country pub, and enjoy a walk by the seaside.

Can you recommend me a nice place?

  1. Seahouses in Northumberland (or round that way). Yes it is very far for you to come, however, it is without a doubt the best British seaside area in the UK. Peaceful, charming, good countryside, nice pubs, lovely scenery. You can even take a boat out to the Farn Isles and watch the seals swimming about. It is the place to be.

I am only 23 and I live about an hour and half away. Even I think it is an amazing place, and apparently I should be going about getting drunk, taking drugs and going about in gangs at my age.

    Even the youngsters love it!!

  2. Try Whitstable? Its not too far to drive from London, and theres some nice littel restaurants etc!! My husband worked on the construction of Bluewater Shopping Centre, and he used to find lodgings in Whitstable, and i often used to go down to meet him at weekends.( we lived in Brum at the time!)...its quite nice there actually!!

  3. Cromer/Sheringham.  Lovely villages nearby, traditional British seaside.
