. Want to ground to waterpipe ground bus-bar in sub=pannel.?

Not going to hire electrician. Service pannel is properly grounded. Nothing to do with Neutrual Bus-bar. Is it okay to ground the ground bus=bar in sub pannel. I have yellow pages just no=money.

No.

If the subpanel comes off a properly grounded main service then NO.

Doing so is a code violation and can cause a circumstance called dissimilar potential...esentially a hot ground. THat wouldbebad.

No its not a good idea, this used to be standard practice and it worked well however there is an outside chance that you could get electrocuted while washing your dishes or taking a shower, if your main panel is properly grounded why don't you just ground to it, you'll be running the rest of your wire there anyway.
