  1. Spadina Garden at Bay and Dundas is downtown.

    The Muse

  2. It would help to know what area you're in. :)

There are a number of Pickle Barrel locations around town. They have a very extensive menu and their restaurants are set up so that you can feel sort of closed off from other diners with your party. Another good place is The Sierra Grill at Sheppard and Bayview. They have a really nice buffet, and the restaurant has several little sections that are tucked away from the main crowd. Tucker's Marketplace is also a good choice if you're into buffets but want something a bit more casual and inexpensive.

    Have fun!

  3. Milestones is very nice.

  4. Well since I live in Toronto, I can tell you there is no cheesecake factory. The geniuses above want you to drive to Montreal or go across the border. It all depends on what kinda food you want, so many choices in T.O. One of my favs in yorkville is Yamato http://yamato.sites.toronto.com/ dont let the crappy website fool you, it is a great place where the chefs cook right in front of you. I recommend the fried rice and steak and seafood for everyone. Its also in a nice area of town so no worries for those coming in from suburbs.  I also recommend Terroni which is a nice italian restaurant which im sure takes reservations as long as you arent going to the one on queen west, They have the top rated gourmet pizza in Toronto, and amazing fresh pasta as well. Ruth's Chris has one of the best steaks in town if you feel like spending the cash. If none of these work, just repost the question and be more specific and i will help you out. Have a good time.

Edit- Omg dont listen to CeeQueue, The pickel Barrel and Tuckers???? These are some of the worst restaurants that have a gigantic menu that tries to be everything to everyone.  Downtown you don't have to eat at extreme chain restaurants. Might as well recommend Mcdonalds. Sry for being negative but I know you want to have a meal that will be memorable, not something you can get anywhere.

Lisa A has some good recommendations. The drake and Susur are both great places. If you want to go to Susur better hurry because he leaves for New York soon. I also recommend posting this on Chowhound.

  5. I know you're not exactly close, but Gibby's in Montreal is so great.  I live in southern California - but I actually fly to Montreal to eat there.  The food, the people, everything is wonderful about the place.  Last time I was there I treated 15 people to dinner and it set me back almost 2,000 dollars, so I don't know what your budget is but if you can swing it and your into a low key, laid back steak place, Gibby's is the way to go.

Otherwise I agree with the above guy.  Cheesecake factory - stay away from the Asian Salad though - it is the worst item on the menu in terms of healthiness. Bad bad.

  6. i like the drake. it has a beautiful atmospehere, amazing sushi, and in the very cool queen west neighbourhood. they take reservations. http://www.thedrakehotel.ca/dining

lee is the sister restaurant to susur ($$$$), but more affordable and a bit more casual. http://www.susur.com/  it would be great for a special occasion.

terroni is also great. but the queen st location does not take reservations.

there are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from!! maybe try to narrow down the type of food you'd like to go for, and go from there!!

ask this question on chowhound.com as well. you'll get a lot of answers on there!!

  7. cheese cake factory is the best

p.s.--- why thumbs down---i know y its because you know im wright and i got there first

  8. spring rolls... its nice in there...

  9. yeah.... go to Montreal.  ok, then.

Ultra is fabulous, as is the patio at the Fifth.  it is open year round, with heated floors and such, and is very classy, then you can go down to the Club afterwards.  I love the Fifth.... the food has changed some over the years, but you really can't go wrong with the terrace for something special, and the club is very sophisticated, as well.  If you have dinner upstairs first, they will generally reserve you a spot in VIP afterwards.

  10. I've heard 5th Element in Toronto is a great place for a party.  The place is nice the and the food is well priced
