  1. I can't think of one; injured wild animals are hard to find, because they hide.

I have twice found a crow that couldn't fly.  I took them to to a rehab person, because crows have special needs.

I found a drenched fledgling after a rainstorm; I took it in and kept it till the next day, as it would likely have died of hypothermia.

Early one morning I found a hummingbird floating in a birdbath, apparently lifeless.  I knew that hummingbirds go into torpor at night, so I thought it might be alive.  I took it in and dried it with a hair dryer, and soon it was buzzing around just fine.

I found a dead opossum in the back yard, but it recovered and went about its business.

  2. Yes, i have found and saved a few animals -

The most tragic one was involving our neighborhood ***** named "Lilly".  Her owner had deserted her as they could not afford it so she became the neighborhood  watchdog as everyone used to give her food. She was very loyal and would bark at any stranger who came to the neighborhood. I loved her and gave her food. She was getting old and it was winter. She gave birth to few puppies at a time when she started losing her hair. I contacted the local vet and gave her medicine but it didn't work. Then, twice i sent her to the shelter for animals but she escaped and died soon. I felt very bad as i could not personally take care of her as my parents would not let me because of her horrible condition. The same neighborhood she guarded hated her because she was diseased.

But i found success when i brought home a Black Kite who was not moving but was alive at my cousins school. She was as large as an eagle. I contacted the local vet who paid a visit and said that she had a stroke and prescribed some vitamin drops. I gave it to her and left the whole room to herself. In the morning before i could even see her she flew away from the balcony. I felt sad and happy. Sad because i wanted to take some pics and happy that my efforts had paid.

Then i also saved a few common and garden lizards, spiders who had fallen into our toilet and in the water buckets. It's a great joy to see spiders who seemed to be dead to wake up after they have been taken out of the water.

I also found a Squirrel who was lying in the road and nobody seemed to be concerned. I took her as usual to the vet but she was dead at arrival. I guess i arrived late.

Another young dog hit by a speeding S.U.V was also taken to the vets but it died after few days because of internal injuries.

I do feel disappointed on my failures but i try my best.

So if you get a chance to save wounded animal or injured animal you should as often as possible. Never mind the failures, at least you tried.
