see the thing is that i asked my mom and have spoken to her about it and she isn't happy about me going at 16 cos she thinks i have to be adopted and she doesn't like that idea at all, that's why i asked. she also said that i have got a home here in S.A if i decide that it's not working out or something but the thing is if i go when i'm 18 and we break up ( which i hope we never do) and i come back here i wont be able to find a job and that because of the BBE system ... i'll have a better opportunity in australia, if i do my education there too i'll also have a better chance of becoming successful there... i looked on the itnernet and i qualify for a student visa and a vistor visa but all i want to know is will i be able to live there at my age

  1. You don't need a guardian or foster parents in order for you to live in Australia.

However, this makes it difficult for you to do certain things (e.g You need to be 18+ to open a bank account).

So I don't see why not -- your boyfriend can be assigned as a legal custodian as long he is over the age of 21, in good character and is willing to accept the responsibilty of taking care of you.

  2. if you go on a student visa, you must be accepted by a school ,pay all international student tuition fees up front, pay for your own medical insurance for the time you are studying.prove you have enough money to support yourself and pay 500 dollars for the visa

then you must leave when your student visa expires

a visitor visa is only for 3 months and you cant study or work

  3. DO NOT do it please listen to your mother if it goes wrong your going to stuck in a strange country with next to no friends or money and that is not a good position to put yourself in. Wait until your 18 your very young and that is a massive commitment your looking at undertaking you have a lot of life left and there is no need to rush.

  4. Don't think that this guy will be around forever... It most likely won't work out and you'll be stuck... Listen to your mother.

  5. no, you need to be 17 to rent a home or anything
