Want to make a picture viewable online?

If i have just a picture image on my desktop, how can i assign it a location so that i can simply send a link to a friend to show him that image?

Theres alot of ways to make picture or JPEG file viewable online, One most nice is the yahoo messenger you can photoshare and you can send it through mail like yahoo mail. you see yahoo creates and improves our way of living through internet. If  you dont feel yahoo services you can do it on friendster either invite your friend to view the pictures or submit photo to a friend. so that's easy hope i answered your question.
