Want to make new friends in plymouth any ideas?

Moved to plymouth, not working at mo and want to make new friends, not romance just mates. am quite shy anyhow, any ideas as to where i can go to meet new people socially?

www.facebook.com - there are thousands of people in the plymouth group and networks on there. There are so many pubs, clubs, groups etc around plymouth. If you are too shy to meet people out then find sum online friends from there. Check online for any social events goin on so u can meet new people who share your interests etc.

We used to live in Plymouth and in the 5 years we were there my wife and I had no problems making good friends...We now live in Yorkshire and the friends we made come up to see us several times per year.. Devonians generally are a good friendly type of people and you should find life there as good as we did..best of luck to you...steven
