I move to Arizona with my husband 5 years ago, we bought a house about 4 years ago. We absolutly hate it out here and want to move to Pennsylvania. Any suggestions on how to do this since the economy sucks now and we're upside down on our mortgage (meaning our house will sell for less than what our mortgage is). Any ideas will help greatly!!!

  1. I am in PA and seriously cannot figure out why you would want to move back here. Taxes, climate etc, Ed Rendell

  2. try renting out your AZ place instead of selling. Find a good property company to manage the AZ place, but be wary as they are hard to find (good ones). Maybe seek a realtor in AZ to help you rent it and consider a lease/option on the AZ home. (a good realtor will explain this option, fairly). Or, you could find your own renter for AZ and explain your situation--you want to move to PA and will rent the AZ place to them but they must take care of the place. If you can avoid selling in today's market, you'll be better off in the long run, as RE will make a comeback, it's just a matter of when. You can (maybe?) get a renter in AZ to help make the mortgage payments easier on you and bite the bullet for one more year, all the while looking for that special renter for AZ. If it's any consolation, you are in much the same boat as many others and so, good luck!
