I was born in Boston but I have been living in Ireland practically all my life so I consider myself Irish. But I would really like to go back and live in Boston. Any advice as to where to start looking??? I'll be 21 moving over without my family. The only family I will have is an uncle in Lynne M.A. and his kids.

  1. I live in Southie and there still are lots of Irish over here.  I'm sure you could find a crowd to hang out with, maybe share an apartment with, and help you get a job here.

    A thousand welcomes.

SouthBoston is really very similar to Dublin.  You'll feel almost at home.

  2. move to southie you'll be right at home!  South Boston has a VERY large Irish population, including the Irish mafia.  Pretty rough area.

You should probably move somewhere close to your uncle.  Lynn is kinda so-so.  Parts of Lynn are bad.  Go a little west to Peabody, I hear thats a nice area.

If you dont care about being close to your fellow countrymen, try the South End (not South Boston) of Boston.  Its priced right and you are right in the city.

    Hope you like it here!
