Want to organize a swimming competition.?

i want to organise a swimming competition in Rwanda around lake kivu in kibuye. Its a baeutiful site with many islands that one could swim along. But i dont realy know how to start and the requirements. can some boby help me out? I need to charge and give prizes too. thank you.
