  1. I've never owned a coffee cafe but I have owned restaurants. How much money you make depends on how many customers you have. And how many customers you have depends on location and how happy your customers are. Repeat business is extremely important. If you have a good location that brings good traffic by your store, you should be able to gross up to $1,000 a day, more in a really super location. After costs for food, coffee, etc. you should have $700 left. Now it gets tricky...you have to hire staff, pay rent, insurance, electric, taxes, advertising and lots of other expenses. How well you manage your business and these will determine how much you keep. If you manage well and work there yourself to keep payroll down, you should keep $100 to $200 per day. That's $35,000 to $50,000 per year. But remember, you'll be self-employed so you have to pay your own FICA, Medicare, etc.
