yes, I want to pick fruit like an illegal

I'm not sure where to go living in Oregon. I want to do it, just so I know what it's like to be in their shoes. I want to know how hard my prior generation worked to get here in the US.

if anyone had any idea, it'd be great help. Thank you.

Come to upstate NY in the fall and pick apples, or onions.  The INS keeps busting all the illegals and farmers are hard put for pickers.

I've picked fruit before, it's not too bad, but you get paid normally by the ton or crate which can really suck on crappy days.

I'm sure you would want to pay more for your fruit if they weren't underpaying the same "illegals".

For an idea of what it is like, cut back to whatever they earn, give away the rest to charity, then try to survive.

Then see if you would rather be picking fruit.
