What is the world's largest island?

Well, probably Greenland, but as continents technicaly are islands, I'll say Asia and Africa combined but then of course there was Pangea if you're talking about anytime...

Pangea was all the continents today mushed together into one big island if you didn't know that... it was definatly the biggest island.

*EDIT*

Antarctica and Autralia are contenents and not technically islands.  Don't quote me on this, but I believe Greenland lacks the area to be considered anything larger than an island.  And Alaska is attached to the continent of North America, therefore not an island.

Australia is the biggest island, which, btw is MUCH bigger than greenland. Maps just distort country sizes, making greenland appear larger
