  1. A "marinized" engine will typically have a different: water pump, will often have a heat exchanger closed loop cooling system, carburetor or f.i. system, air inlet system with flame arrestor, possibly different ignition, alternator. If you can convert it to a marine engine, then go for it. People do bolt car engines in boats but you'll have considerable trouble and it will possibly be dangerous i.e. fuel system leaks combined with auto alternator.

  2. If the 350 crate engine is a marine engine then yes you can use it. If its not a marine engine I would not use it. For auto engines and marine engines though are the same block design they are built differently. Marine engines have to be built stonger than there auto counterpart for the reason that marine engines run at or near WOT for most of there time.

  3. 307 and 350 motors are of the same block basically so yes you can and its a much better block!!!

  4. If the original engine looks like a small block chev then just go ahead and bolt it in. Chevs were fitted under the guise of "Mercruiser" "Kodiak" "Volvo Penta" and sometimes "OMC" amongst many others.
