Want to put on new avatar but having problems with it going pixellated.Can you help me please ?

The image is fine, but after I upload it onto 360 it goes all pixellated and weird.

I've never had this happen before. It's the same size and resolution as the others I've done and it's a jpg, so I'm mystified.

Has anyone got any wisdom for me ? Thank you, Lizzie :o)

o joy, i now have another issue to consider when making more changes....y'know these computers and digital things truly mystify me...i hope antoni or someone has some answers because frankly i don't.

That image is of a non-standard size. You might run into an issue because of that OR because the personal profile pic module is buggy (long-time issue).

Try re-saving the image in Microsoft Paint as a JPEG. Then try uploading it. Sometimes re-saving in paint makes the image more usable in 360. If you are going to reduce the size, it's important to "constrain proportions" - meaning the percentage that you reduce the width is the same as the reduction in height. Otherwise, the image will become distorted upon resizing.

But even after making the image smaller, it's the 360 module that's causing the distortion, I would just recommend moving onto using a different image.

Lidy I think it may be to do with the HxW ratio of the image, I don't have a 360 so I'm not that familiar with it but when I've had difficulties with other images it's always been with "odd" or non standard sizes.

As you know, I am pixel -challenged but , wow, what a lovely photo to post.

I hope you get it up.

I really need to educate myself on the digital inroads the rest of society has made while I still shoot with film.
