Want to see my friends in germany and japan?

i want to do a trip from canada to germany and then to japan in a time span of 3 weeks. my friend lives in hamburg germany and the other one lives in tokyo. why do u have to travel back through canada? cant u just go from germany to japan? whats the cheapest way to do so

You have 2 choices:  Purchase a one way to Germany, one way to Japan then one way back to Canada...

OR do a multi destination flight.
