  1. rail will be ALOT cheaper

  2. I shipped my vehicle from Toronto to Vancouver about 4 months ago. I chose to do it by rail since I had a hard time finding a hauler that would go that far and be able to guarantee a timely delivery. I was happy with rail and there was no damage to the vehicle contrary to some other peoples experiences i found on the net. There are two big companies (Hansens and Searail), however, i believe both use the same CN rail network. After some research on the net i got a price quote through Automoves.ca for both of them and both quotes were lower than when i called them directly. Not sure what their deal is but i was happy to save some. Regardless of who you ship with, make sure that proper vehicle inspection is done at both ends. Don't wait too long either,  according to their website fuel surcharge has gone up by 12% in less than 4 months!!

Hope this was helpful and good luck.

  3. Take a look at 'Driveaway'. -  Google it.

These are companies that advertise for drivers to drive cars between cities. I've done it twice. It is usually a good deal for the car owner as well as whoever the driveaway company finds.

They'll have to pay a deposit, that they get back when the car arrives in good condition. The driver pays for gas (but maybe today you caver part of that).

    Good luck.
