Want to specialize in the 1600 - cross-country or other training?

I want to specialize in the 1600m in track and I'm not sure if I should do cross-country or not.

Info that might matter:

High school freshman

PR: 5:02.62

Did NOT run cross-country in fall

Not doing any other sports

YES!!! do cross country it gets your body used to even farther distance and endurance(i reccomen summer training to have a succesful season and if you want a good workout schedule contact me through my page and i can send it to you...)Also you need to do winter training(december through track season) to be running your best at the end of the season...i should have the winter plan finished by november(when i'm done with XC...)let me know if your interested i've already had lots of requests and they all seem very excited about the program (it has aso trained 3 state champion high school XC in the last 10 years)
