  1. Thanks for asking ... i am wondering the same things

  2. Check out Big 5. I'm in California so maybe it might not be where ever you are. It really wont hurt if you're boarding in powder. The only thing that sucks bad is getting up after a fall over and over and over again.

  3. You will get a crappy board under $100 if it's not online...even if it's online, under $100 will be a crappy board.  Rent first, you might change you're mind about riding; you might like it, or might hate it.  It's frustating the 1st time.  the 2nd day i was in great pain...D= it depends on how you like snowboarding.  if you really like it, you'll be well off in no time, but if you snowboard just becuase other people do, then you probably would take a long time...

you need waterproof gloves, waterproof pants, waterproof jacket, wear layers! sunblock(the UV rays reflects off the snow and to your face.

    and have fun!

  4. hi i am 11 and have been snowboarding for only 1 year. most boards for your age will be $120-$150 for a good but cheap board you can get it at sport mart, Canadian tire, sport check tends to be expensive.learning is easy and its even easier if you already surf or skateboard you may also want to take a lesson most places offer them. when i got started just heart my head in a quick stop and heart my ankle but i was right back on the hill in a mater of minutes both times. most good board will not come with bindings so you will need to by them($30), you will need boots($50), a helmet($30)(you can use any helmet), you will want goggles($10) it will only take 2 or three visits to the hill to get good.bring a freind it will be alot funner:)

    good luck!!

  5. rent a board first under 100 will be a peace of $h!T

  6. Before you go and spend a fourtune on gear, rent at the resort or a local shop and make sure you actually like snowboarding.
