Want to trace where my grandfather came from india?

he came on the ship umlazi xxxvi(madras)he arrived in south africa in may of 1905 his colonial no.is 113225 his name was gabari his fathers name was kisten he was 21 years old when he arrived in south africa his caste:cavarai/balija/ka,zillah:south arcot,thanna:tiruvannamalai,village:kari... kuppam. the story i can remember is they where 7 brothers in india. i would like if someone can help me trace the other family in india.my humble thanks.vincent chetty
