*left my fulltime job - public service customer liaison - to be with sick husband, after his death went travelling, but ties make this impossible fulltime.

*very fit, administratively competent, computer literate, found easily two jobs in community agencies, in both exploited and put at physical risk by lazy salaried staff who foisted their work on me.
*asked at my sports centre, home to a major sporting club, for volunteer opportunities - offered packing and cleaning sports gear - females have to be young for any other volunteer job!
*after years of care for sick elderly people want to be with all ages and both sexes, some of whom at least are energetic and intelligent! would prefer not to solicit strangers for money by phone, which is what most volunteer sites offer.
Can anyone out there who works in Melbourne in a volunteer capacity recommend a job I can do?
