Question:

Wanted good solution for S bend

Most would equate with this - the toilet bowl and specifically the S bend gets a build up of scale in it from water - I have tried bleach, orange based cleaner, a stuff called Clear. Coca cola and just plain old elbow grease to try and get it something like it was originally when new

Short of replacing it with another - I would appreciate hearing of any solutions that others have sucessfully used to combat this problem

This is a genuine ask and don't want any silly stuff - thank you in anticipation

  1. I have found that a product called Harpic always shifts stains from the toilet. If you have "hard" water - that is the water in your area contains certain chemicals that make it do that to your toilet it is not your fault that the S bend is going like that. You sound as though you have done everything to keep it clean. It can be very annoying. I know.

Hard water contains more magnesium and calcium than usual but apparently is otherwise harmless to humans.

You can get Harpic at your local IGA store or at Woolworths, Coles or I guess Aldi if you go there.

I hope that this helps.  Cheers!!!

  2. I have no idea why you are asking a cleaning question on an "injuries" area.

But your problem is clearly "hard" water.  That is water with a lot o minerals in it.  If you already have a water softener then you need to make sure the back flush is working or have someone check it out.  If you don't have one, you might consider it.

Additionally you may wish to check out some "hard water" products that should be available in your neighborhood superstore, like HD or Lowe's.  One is called "iron-out"

  3. did you try urinating on it yet? seriously. later~
