  1. Not every Veteran has the exact same symptoms when they are diagnosed with PTSD.  What causes it is called combat stress.  It effects vets in different ways

  2. During the Vietnam war it was called "shell shock" and for the Iraqi campaign it's called "Post Traumatic stress disorder".  Common symptoms are depression, flash backs, extreme sensitivity to loud noises, etc.  Experiences during war differ from person to person so they can not figure out what exactly causes it.  It is said that stressful situation in a combat zone (ie getting injured or seeing others get injured / death) cause PTSD.  I've heard things from Navy docs such as "not being able to turn the kill switch off." or "No one can understand what I went thru."

  3. This is MY personal experience and hopefully will have no bearing on anyone else.  I find that fighting a war challenges your sense of right and wrong.  You're faced with having to do things that you most likely dont want to do, and it affects you.

  4. It is called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and it is because they see their friends and young children that are used as  Bombers getting blown to pieces.. It would s***w with any ones mind if you seen this day in and day out for years and years with no true date of when they can come home
