I'd like to take a bit of time out like a career break to work and live abroad for a little while. I was thinking maybe Spain, France or Italy.

However I wouldn't even know where to start enquiring. I see a lot of students having "gap years" however I never went to Uni and I have only GCSEs. Where would I start looking into it, how much cash would I need etc.

I'm 20 and work full time within customer service/office type work. I am very willing to learn the language before I went.

Is it possible to do this (the career break), and if so how would I go about looking into it? Has anyone done it?

  1. look up gapyearforgrownups

good site with lots of ideas and they do the organising - you dont have to go for a year - they do shorter stuff and are involved in a lot of good things - like helpng rebuild fences at an african safari park - helping build wells etc.
