IRS is estimating 8-12 weeks to process an amendment, and it's likely to be closer to 12 than 8.

It takes exactly 12 weeks to process amended returns (week ends not included),

They run 8 to 12 weeks to process, so give it least another month.  Given the extreme workload at the IRS this year with the stimulus plan rebates, allow extra time this year.  I wouldn't bother calling for another 2 months myself.
