Ok, im pregnant but this one is called Evelyn Grace :) but the next baby we have, we will hopefully have a boy and i want to use his dads name as a middle name.

Our eldest Sophia Rose, has Rose as her middle name because its my Grandmas name. i like having the names of the people you love incorporated into childrens name.

anyway, his dad is Josh. do I use Josh as a middle name, or Joshua? because his name is just Josh and not Joshua.... I personally like Joshua better as it has more substance....

also, what first names go with Josh/Joshua, and also go well with sisters name, Sophia (Sophie) and Evelyn (Evie)?

  1. JOSHUA

  2. Andrew Joshua

    Richard Joshua

    Calen Joshua

    Allen Joshua

    Anthony Joshua

    Dorian Joshua

  3. William Joshua

    Ian Joshua

    Aaron Joshua

    Levi Joshua

    Simon Joshua

    good luck!!

  4. I think middle names usually sound strange if they're not given in their full form.  I'd definitely use Joshua instead of Josh.  It still honors your husband, as it's a form of his name.

To pair with it, you definitely need to use a classic name.  You seem to like names that are in style right now, so here are some suggestions in a similar vein:

    William Joshua

    Henry Joshua

    Owen Joshua

    Daniel Joshua

    David Joshua

    Christian Joshua

    Nathan Joshua

    Ethan Joshua

    Lucas Joshua

    Adam Joshua

    Ian Joshua

    Gavin Joshua

  5. Cameron Joshua

  6. andrew joshua. it's pretty and has a nice ring 2 it. i like it. or robert j.

  7. David Joshua

    William Joshua

    Henry Joshua

    Thomas Joshua

I'd imagine an old-fashioned name would suit best for Joshua, as that's what it is

I would definitely avoid a J-Name or soft G-Name for the first name.

  8. William Joshua

    Dustin Josh

    Edward joshua

  9. How about Charles Joshua? You could call him C.J., Chaz, Chuck or Charlie. I like the full name more than the abbreviation. If you like the full name more use that. It'll honor your husband and make you both happy. Charles is a classic names that goes with your girls' names (which I love!).

    Also Oliver or Henry work.

edit: I actually really like Charles Josue (the Spanish form of Joshua). It's pronounced "joz-oo-a". It sounds like a jazz player to me.

  10. Wow, those are really cute girls names. But I definitely like Joshua better than Josh. Maybe Joshua Matthew, Joshua Michael, or Joshua Andrew? As a middle name, maybe James Joshua, Daniel Joshua, or something like that?

  11. I love your girls names..

they're traditional so a more traditional name like

    Jack Joshua or JJ :)

    James

    George

    Zachary

    Nathan

    Luke or Lucas

    Matthew

    Michael

    good luck.

    x

Harrison Josh ... Harry (Sophia, Evelyn and Harrison)

Brecken Josh ... Breck (Sophia, Evelyn and Brecken)

Lucas Joshua ... Luc (Sophia, Evelyn and Lucas)
