Wanting to work with horses in Australia?

I'm currently travelling around Australia and i would like to start working. I have tons of experience with working with horses but i'm not to sure where to start looking for jobs. I would like to work for a Stud farm, or show jumping yard. Where do i start looking?

  1. just go to the main training tracks in what ever city you are in and ask around they are always looking for people

  3. Try www.careergrooms.com or www.yardandgroom.com. If you want a job in a racing yard as a ground person or a rider, it's a good idea to go straight to one of the training centres (Randwick in Sydney, Eagle Farm in Brisbane etc) and ask for a job first thing in the morning. There are people at the stables from 3am onwards usually as they like to get the horses worked before the heat gets too bad.
