In the latest development in the spot-fixing fiasco in Pakistan cricket, excerpts of the statements made to the International Cricket Council (ICC) by head coach Waqar Younis and skipper Shahid Afridi have been published in a local
daily. The statements appear to confirm that the three accused players – Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mazhar-c75448 Majeed.
Younis also revealed in his statement that he had been startled by Amir’s no-ball during Pakistan’s Test against England this year at Lord’s, because “usually, if anything, Aamer (Amir) tends to bowl from well behind the front
footline.” He said he then chose to confront the young paceman about the delivery.
“I was so surprised by the delivery that when we went back into the dressing room at the end of that morning session I said to Aamer in Punjabi, 'What the h**l was that?'” said Younis in his statement. “But before Aamer had the
chance to answer my question, Salman interrupted from across the dressing room, saying: 'I told him to do it because the batsman was coming on the front foot. I told him to come forward and bowl him a bouncer.’”
Meanwhile, Afridi told the ICC Code of Conduct Commission that the players looked “guilty” to him from the moment their rooms were raided by the police. He said, “They told me that they had done nothing wrong, to which I replied:
'If you have done nothing wrong, there is no need to feel guilty.’”
Excerpts of the Pakistan team’s former security manager Major (retd) Khawaja Najam’s statement to the ICC have also been published alongside Younis’ and Afridi’s. Major Najam, who toured with the team in England, a http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Scotland-c756 Yard

440 South African rands were found from Butt’s room. He further revealed that five thousand pounds, a Tag Heuer mobile phone, a few hundred US dollars and an envelope containing 2,500 pounds were found from Amir’s room.
“Police officers asked Butt why he had so much cash in his room and Mr. Butt stated, 'It's for my two sisters, they are getting married, it's for their dowry.'”
Major Najam also confirmed that he had seen the suspended trio “mingling” with Majeed on many occasions.
Butt, Amir and Asif are currently facing suspension from international cricket for their alleged involvement in spot-fixing during a series in England this summer, and are awaiting a hearing of their case by the ICC, which is set
to begin in Doha from January 6-11.
