Waqar Younis pleased with performance against Australia – ICC World Cup 2011 news
Pakistan cricket team coach Waqar Younis was pleased with his team’s victory over the mighty Australians in their last Group A match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2011 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.

The former fast bowler stated, “Gul is improving day by day. He’s found his right length and he’s not only bowling straight but with some pace. He’s attacking and I think he’s getting better and better, which is great for the team.”
Waqar further added, “Definitely it's an achievement to beat Australia. We have to make sure we enjoy this victory, forget it and go to the next one fresh and think of the team we are going to face.”
Commenting on the wicket, Waqar said that it was not the easiest to bat on. He said that the target of 177 was not a difficult one, but his team had some nervous times towards the end. However, he was glad that the batsmen guided the team to a historic win
