Waqar Younis says that he has never crossed his limits as the coach of Pakistan

Pakistan cricket faced yet another controversy as Afridi was removed from limited overs captaincy by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) because he gave some controversial statements in the media and violated the code of conduct.
Waqar said that he understands his job description and has never crossed the lines to interfere in anyone else’s work and nor will he ever do this in future.
He said, “As a coach I have my own domain and I know my job description and I never interfered in Afridi’s job nor in selection affairs. I have my own mindset and I always try to concentrate on my job and I will follow the same in future as well as long
as I am the coach of the team.”

Waqar admitted that Afridi was doing a good job as the captain of Pakistan’s limited overs squad. He also understands that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s major problem at the moment is batting and the team is in need of a good batting consultant at the moment.
However, he admired the performances of his young batsmen even in the absence of a batting coach.
Pakistan team defeated http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 in its recent tours and some cricket analysts think that it is not a great achievement as both these teams are not rated strong enough in international cricket. However, Waqar does not agree with this and said
the Green Shirts have played against all the best teams since last one year.
“Afridi was a good captain and I was satisfied with his captaincy. Even without a batting coach our batting put up fine show in the recent tours. I do not agree to it as we played against world’s best teams and now we are playing against low-ranked teams,”
he added.
