  1. At this point it's impossible to say.  He's a two year old and different horses mature at different rates.  But, I'd love it if he was.  I was impressed by his BC performance, we need another Triple Crown Winner for the sport and Nick Zito is one of my two favorite trainers (the other one being Michael Matz).  I'd love to see Zito be the next Triple Crown Winner's trainer.

And War Pass already has one thing going for him.  Street Sense has already broken the juvenile jinx by becoming the first Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner to capture the Kentucky Derby.  So, those of us who are superstitious can forget about that curse.

  2. I think He is a really good horse and i don't see much compation for him, at least not yet. but i  hope he will win the triple crown

  3. could have a very bright future, but who knows what's gonna happen

  4. Probably not a triple crown winner

  5. I think he could have a chance at the Triple Crown, hopefully! He won the B.C. Juvenile on a sloppy track by 4 lengths. I think he won his maiden by 6 or 7 lengths. I think he has a great chance! Who knows though there might be some new thoroughbred legends out there waiting to be found!

  6. i think he has a great chance..he did win for fun....might still

have to look for a curlin type of horse next year...nobody from

this years race will bounce back and beat him...

  7. he is great but if u see how he tires sometimes not the triple crown for him i like him for the derby maybe preakness but the belmont will eat him alive

  8. He's certainly a decent horse, but I haven't seen anyone really try to challenge him yet.  I really don't think the BC Juvie was very representative of the horses running...  the track didn't favor a certain type of horse over others, but it made a sharp distinction between horses who could handle the surface and the ones who could not... I mean look at the classic: Lawyer Ron was like second to last... and we know he's a better horse than that.  War Pass's record of 4-0 is good, but it's not amazing, especially considering that one was a maiden and one was an allowance.

Personally I still like Majestic Warrior.  The way he flew past Maimonides and Ready's Image was amazing.  I know his showing in the next race was poor, but he was hurt.

I also like Slews Tiznow... with a little more experience I think he'll make a decent racehorse.

And I'm interested in seeing J Be K... his workouts are always blazing... I want to see what he can do in an actual race.

As for War Pass, the odds suggest that he will not be a Triple Crown winner because there's so many other horses and the 3 triple crown races are so difficult to win.  The odds suggest that he won't even win the Kentucky Derby: Street Sense was the only horse to win the BC Juvie and the Derby... that shows that it's quite a difficult thing to accomplish.  The truth is, racing as a 2 year old and racing as a 3 year old are very different.  All the horses will develop more so War Pass will get a lot more competition.  The distance of the races will stretch out dramatically by May.  Horses who did not do well this year over the shorter distances will develop into fantastic horses over the longer distances next year.  Some 2 year olds will prove to be better sprinters than classic runners.  So much is going to change... while War Pass's record this year is good, it's hard to say that he'll be a triple crown winner.

  9. I had picked War Pass to win the Juvenile, but there are still a lot of really good horses out there.  I think that Magestic Warrior is going to be a really good horse. It is still a ways to the Triple Crown. . I will be watching closely the Derby Preps. .

  10. In a few answers I gave to this other question I mentioned War Pass! He was my favorite in the Breeders Cup and now he is my second favorite race horse (alive).

Im cheering for him for 2008 and I will have my hopes up for a Triple Crown winner. Yes, there are LONG months ahead and a lot of racing too, but a champion is a champion and he might just be the champion were looking for...

I think so, maybe you think so, lets just hope so!

    RIP Barbaro

  11. I have to admit I didn't pick War Pass to win the Juvenile. His sire Cherokee Run was mostly a sprinter, and I honestly didn't see War Pass going the distance. But in hind sight I looked up his pedigree:http://www.pedigreequery.com/war+pass

Kudos to all that had him in the BC Juvenile! I don't see him taking the Triple Crown next year though (sorry). Like someone else mentioned my sights are set on J be K,

His race at Saratoga was amazing!
