  1. The aliens are winning all over the world, all hope for men is gone because there is rioting and greed spreading around the world.  Those that could have helped the scientist group are separated by the violent groups roaming the city.  Everyone is in the churches praying, crying, some giving up.  When suddenly one of the space craft crashes, seemingly for no reason.  One opens up revealing an alien dying.  Seems that the germs that God placed on the earth, the aliens found deadly. The End.

  2. The Martians were venerable to a mysterious sickness. This has happened in history when a bunch of western sailors were mixed with natives, the natives would die off of smallpox or other relatively small sicknesses since their bodies had no immunity to it. It was like that with the Martians, they had no immunity to this sickness. Later on, it is known that they give up Earth on their agenda, and try their luck on Venus. Also since the Element of surprise is lost, the narrator explains how humans could destroy the capsule before it can be opened.

You should read it though, I really enjoyed it.
