so i saw the news today and theyre saying that the united states might go to war with russia and cuba...is this true?

Number one, Russia, regardless of what the media or government has said, has never been our friend and never will be. I haven&#039;t heard anything about a possible war, but war is a possiblility every day of our lives. I wouldn&#039;t spend anytime worrying about. We will never live in a totally peaceful society. What will come will come. We need to try to make our own corner of the world better and thats all we can do. Don&#039;t be afraid. Thanks to Herkk for all the good info, I have been taking a vacation from the news, I have enough stress in my own life! It was good stuff to know tho!

Cuba maybe but Russia no,

Russia has the capability to destroy the world at least twice over so the USA will think twice about attacking Russia.

One of the reasons Russia never invaded the US during the Cuban missile crisis and the cold war is. America has to many guns. They would be in a long drawn out affair like they were in Afghanistan. As for Cuba they are in the beginnings of change such as the Chinese did years ago. The Russians cut off funding to them a long time ago. They do not feel they owe anything to the Russians. They know that allowing Russia to come into their country would only move them backwards and not forwards. Once Castro is gone I see a more swifter change towards a Chinese style  government. Yes their will be tensions between us all at times. Russia does not want a war right now.

There is concern for Russia&#039;s reactions to the US defense missile system to be placed, they are reacting, I believe if the reports are true they are acting in a irracional manner. The problem is there is too much conflict in the World too many countries worried about what other countries are doing. We as citizens of the world do need to pay attention to what is going on and prepare for the worst. I am not a doomer but I do listen to the good and the bad, somewhere there is a middle, and the middle tells me that too much is happening and we need to voice our opinions of what we think before it is too late. I love living and love interacting with people and respect peoples concerns and beliefs. Russia has a concern and rightfully so, it boils down to communication, and not enough of from the US.

There are war mongers in power who don&#039;t give a monkeys about anybody else on this planet. All these idiots in power see is the pound or dollar sign and nothing else. They use war, terrorism and violence to keep the little people down even the more intelligent among us who happen to know that violence never solved anything. Some people are stupid and have sheer ignorance when it comes to certain facts. Most people do not want war in any way, shape or form and wish to lead a peaceful life without strife or any kind of hassle. Life has enough problems without adding war and terrorism to it but because a lot of the people in power are crazy asylum candidates with no consideration for culture, people, animals, plants, sport, the arts, cures for disease, the emergency services, education, salvation, religion (whatever even atheism), peace, enjoying oneself and so on. Then they think to keep us down there will benefit only them. They forget one thing, people are getting pissed off with these ejits in power and enough is enough and one day we may have a peaceful revolution. Hear hear is all I can say. Maybe John Lennon&#039;s dream will be realised after all.

There is no talk about America going to war with Russia or Cuba. No serious talk at least. What on earth would we go to war with Russia over? Thats just insane.

No! That would literally be end of humanity as we see it.

The relations between Russia and US are currently strained . . . and there is fear that it might lead to 2nd cold war.

The friction is about US plan to put defense shield in Europe, in Czechoslovakia, Poland etc. Which is completely unacceptable for Russia, as

it sees this as a strategic threat. Russia has clearly expressed their opposition and has asked US to either abandon their plans or involve Russia in the process.

US so far has refused, and now Russia has resorted to ultimatums. One being Russia will strengthen ties between Cuba and Russia, and Russia will point Nukes at US, and station planes in Cuba.

The US finds this very alarming, and has threatened Russia. Russia is saying it has no intention but Russian deputy minister was in Cuba, raising fears in US.

The danger is that the conflict might escalate resulting in 2nd cold war.

Doubt it.  That is not true.  I have not heard anything- beyond the usual unhappy, bleh tensions- about Russia and the US getting into a war.  Cuba will not get into war either.  We shouldn&#039;t worry about this.  Things will be okay- and any war with the Russians would be bad for both countries.  The reason why tensions are high with Russia are because of how the Russian government has poorly treated people in its own country (crushing those with different opinions), has different views than the US on different situations, and has some good relations with countries that we aren&#039;t happy with- but they&#039;re also on the whole, a country that has okay/moderatly nice relations with us and have helped our nation on different issues like North Korea.
