Has anyone gotten into this? It looks cool, but is it really worth all the money. If I was willing to plant 500 dollars into it would it be better to you to go with the Chaos Marines or Orks? I'm concerned with money because i'm in the Army and my pay check is only 1500 a month.

  1. I only have one Warhammer set, and that's the Battle for Skull Pass, but you could go with the one you think would suit you the best, because really, it doesn't matter what character you play with, as long as you have fun

  2. I have collected orc and space marines and would suggest the orks because:

    they are more fun

easy to build and customize(if ya want to)

    THEY ARE COOL

  3. I used to be very big into Warhammer 40k, and they are great fun, but I would only recommend starting a hobby if you know someone else who would actively play it with you and if you were willing to spend the cash, since they are very expensive, considering they are small, plastic-and-metal miniatures that can break fairly easily if stepped on, which often occurred at my house.

If you take good care of the figures and put quality time into painting and decorating, and possibly signing up for tournaments or a league, then it is worth the money.

Out of those two options, I would go with the Chaos Marines.  But, my recommendation is that you start a Necron army.
