Depends on what you want. Warhammer is much newer, so it is easier to get in 'on the ground floor' so to speak.

warhammer would put you on a level playing field because its new, but warcraft has set the standard, and has been around forever, so they have worked out the bugs and have made gameplay a lot better.

personally, i wont play anything other than warcraft, but thats me.

Cant be more pointless than WoW. It gets so boring without any real point to it. PvP gets boring fast, and theres nothing else the game utilizes to get players to play. I'd definitely give Warhammer a try, and then a few other titles, before ever subjecting myself to WoW again.
