Warmer in los cabos, or cancun?

honeymooning in february- looking for the warmer spot- also- is cabo san lucas and los cabos the same thing?

It is warmer in Can Cun. The ocean is warmer and the waves are smaller, at times as flat as a lake.  They also have a higher humidity than Cabo San Lucus.

I prefer Can Cun over Cabo because I like the ocean, and to explore local sites. The area around Can Cun has much more to see than Cabo.

One does have to exercise more caution in Can Cun than Cabo. There has been an increase in crimes against tourist in the Can Cun area and tourist trade is down considerably there.

As far as the names, there are lots of similiar named towns in Mexico, so I will have to say I don't know if Los Cabos and Cabo San Lucus are the same town.

Never heard of Los Cabos. Cancun is warmer than Carbo San Lucas, and the reason is that Cancun is on the Caribbean while Carbo is on the Pacific (which is a lot colder than the Caribbean), and Carbo is in the desert, which means that the nights are going to be cold the further from the water you get.
