Warne offers to help Hauritz for Ashes
Shane Warne has put his weight behind beleaguered Australian off-spinner, Nathan Hauritz and said that he should still lead the Australian spin attack against England for the Ashes this year. Warne also offered Hauritz assistance in his preparations for
the Ashes.

Hauritz had a bad time in the two-Test match series against India and picked up six wickets at an average of more than 60. Such was his lack of confidence that he set unorthodox fields for himself on the final day of the Test match and was routinely thrashed
by the Indian batsmen.

Warne said that he would love to work with Hauritz if Cricket Australia and the team management agreed to it. Speaking to Courier-Mail, he said, "That's up to Ricky Ponting and Tim Nielsen but if they are happy for me to work with Haury before the Ashes, then
I'm more than happy to. I will make myself available and fit it into my schedule,”

Warne also said that Hauritz was not the only spinner who had gone for a lot of runs in India. He said, "Murali, Daniel Vettori and myself and a lot of other spinners have been smashed in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 at times. That is no disgrace at all. How Haury bounces back in
Australia this summer is the key,”

Warne also added that Steven Smith, the second spinner in the Aussie ranks is not good enough to lead the Australian attack currently.

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s consistent losses in the recent times have ensured that they are now ranked fifth in the world. That is the first time since the rankings came out that they have been ranked that low. According to Warne, that was due to the defensive mindset. Ponting
had a deep cover and a third-man fielder right throughout both the Test matches and the batsmen milked the bowling around with no issues.

He signed off by saying, "The best way to learn to win is have a mindset where you have to attack. You have to be prepared to lose a Test to win a Test. You always have to think, 'how am I going to get this batsman out' – not just dry things up."
