Question:

Warne to make a comeback?

It has been reported that Warne is thinking of making himself available for the Ashes.

Warnies aside from being too long in the tooth he undoubtedly he has still got the talent but he retired and now seems to be trying to cherrypick the series that he participates in. Personally I think that we should move on. Let the younger guys develop and move into up.

Thoughts?

  1. I asked an almost identical Q to this earlier today. Where were you?

  2. I would like to see Warne play more test matches. But as you

say that he needs to prove his match fitness and also needs

to prove that he can still take wickets. Few practice matches

will do good for him and he can come strong.

I do not think, Warne selection will be automatic.

I wish the same from McGrath too.

  3. Give it up - he is a legend in his own lunchbox!

The only thing he is any good for is keeping the mobile Phone companies in business. The only talent he has is for attracting trouble. Let a decent and talented player have a go.

  4. well firstly i think he has to play 5-6 first class games for Victoria to prove he is match fit, in form and that his body can get thru a 5 day match, talent and ability will still be there but i question whether his body can get thru a test series, but if he plays for victoria, proves himself fit and in form then i see no reason for him not to play! hes stilll the best leggie in the world and i would love to see him reak havoc on the poms again.

having heard the news, Kookee is now waking up in cold sweats and having nightmares, thinking about what warnies done to english batsmen over the years!!

  5. No here is article printed earlier.....

  6. A typical Warne-like statement. He is always saying things without thinking. Yes, it would be nice to see him play again. But he has to decide whether he wants to be: a) A cricket player; b) A poker player; c) The Playboy of the Western World.

He stated on retirement that he wanted to spend more time with his family. Going back into international cricket is hardly going to help that situation.

If Cricket Australia have any sense, they will ignore him.

  7. he would love to take to more english wickets , he just loves poms

  8. Yeah well James Sutherland has just come out and said about 1/2 hour ago that if he wants to play again he has to come out of retirement, but there is still no saying that  he will be bought back in the team..He said he is not going to say yes just for 1 match...

EDIT..I just saw this article pop up in sports,it is from C.A.....
