Warnett? Is this a common surname?

What does it mean? Where does it come from?

Regarding whether it is a common surname, in England there are between 230 and 250 listed. So it is a very un-common surname, in England at least.

(For England read Britain.)

I cant find anything about the surname at all, I haven't heard of it before either. I searched on www.ancestry.com and this other site,

but I found nothing, sorry.

It is unknown in China. When you ask about surnames you should say in what country.

In the USA there are just 38 Warnetts on the Social Security Death Index that I use. (By contrast, the same SSDI has 800,000+ Smiths and 5,315 Packs.) So no, it is not common in the USA.
