Warning Sign to go by the name in the Blanchford Building Supplies Oxfordshire Stakes – Heat 2
The second heat of the Blanchford Building Supplies Oxfordshire Stakes has six hounds registered for the 450 metres flat race on Saturday, 6th October, 2012 at Oxford. Bursary Boy, Zodiac Zeus, Warning Sign, Oscars Goodbye, Cunning Deal and Farloe Ashes are trying their luck at the £150 prize money.
One of the highly likely contestants for success tonight is the three-year-old black dog, Warning Sign. The D. Whitton trained has been successful at the level repeatedly.
He has raced over 450 metres just once, and that too was a race that he lost. The three-year-old lost the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Standard on 17th May, 2012 at Oxford over 450 metres.
Warning Sign ended fifth after racing out of the second trap, while the race was won by, Kilmalady Biffo, who had the race under his belt in 27.23 seconds.
Droopys Scolari’s son has tried his luck at Henlow and Mildenhall. He struck a hat-trick at Henlow over 460 metres.
The blue box won the Primus Telecom Derby Trial Stakes on 16th August, 2012. Not taking long to pick up the pace, bumping when racing in the first position, and even then leading from the first spot had him reaching the other end of the wire in 27.75 seconds.
The red colour suited the three-year-old too, as the favourite entry was quick to become prominent and then did not let go off the lead, nailing the race in 27.72 seconds.
Losing the race by three lengths was, Markeys Dragon.
After winning from the first and second trap, he did not disappoint the connections by failing when breaking from the third box. By now he was declared as the evening’s favourite and followed his undisputed pattern to land the race in 27.72 seconds.
Besides winning at Hove and Henlow, he tried and proved his luck at Mildenhall. The third trap saw him leading from the second position, and taking 23.39 seconds to make it on the other end of the wire.
The 11 to 4 entry will once again race from the third trap, and already has quite a few tips up the sleeve for dominating the race.
