Ran adaware... it's still there. Tried system restore... there are no restore pts. Currently backing up files in case I have to reformat.

  1. try using

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    SUPERAntiSpyware

    RogueRemover

    and scan your system with these programs, this should fix the problem.


  2. Recommend reformat or have a professional remove it.  That is a pain in the butt virus to get rid of.  Everyone seems to have it.

    Try AVIRA http://www.download.com/Avira-AntiVir-Pe...

    It might work for you.

  3. You do not need to reformat. There are a couple of programs which are free and will help you kill this annoyance. They are called AVG, Spybot, and ThreatFire(download and install this first).
