Warning message at boot up,non-responsive keyborad

Question

hi.when i switch on my pc the motherboard does not make any beeps and i get the following message- warning!!the previous performance of overclocking is failed and the system is restored to the defaults setting press any key except "DEL" to enter SETUP...   the problem is regardless of what key I press nothing happens.i have tried a usb keyboard and an adapter for it (usb to ps2) but still the keyboard is unresponsive,i have also tried with other keyboards.if you have any thoughts on the matter i would be very grateful.
