Warning on desktop? What should i do?

i was on myspace and all of the sudden everything closed and my background went away. now its like a big banner that says "Warning, Spyware Detected On computer" im already running spybot - search& destroy. do i need to do anything else? or will it be gone once spybots done?

i say get bit defender free edition v10 and do a deep system scan - it will scan for virus problems as well as spyware problems, you should also get super anti-spyware that will find hidden spyware that may be on your computer.

I had the same problem. I recommend you download Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware from download.com and run that to. Another tip if you ever get anything like that again open you task manager and shut down you web browser as soon as possible, If you shut down your browser this way fast enough no infections will get a chance to install in time. MySpace is filled with nasty pieces of spyware and viruses.  First thing you want to do though is to take back your desktop from the changes that have been made.  The following link will give you a list of choices (one which is Change Desktop Background).
