Warped Tour '08 Tips?

Question

Hello, this is my first time going to warp tour [shorline amp; 8/15] and i was wondering if anyone had some tips or advice to stay strong during the whole thing? i'm also going alone... ugh sucks i know but at least i'm going. i'm 13 btw. ~

Wear something you can move around it it will probably involve a lot of jumping.

make sure you stay hydrated! wear comfy shoes that will stay on, are close-toed, and fit well. make sure you've always got a buddy with you. bring lots of money cos merch and food and stuff is expensive. a lot of venues don't allow you to bring your own food and drink. they take the bottle caps off the bottles so you have to keep buying more, so here's a hint: bring bottle caps!  make sure you keep your wallet and stuff on you at all times.  if you put something you're eating down and you let it out of your sight, don't pick it up again! there's a bunch of weirdos at warped.  also, a lot of the sets you wanna see will conflict! make sure you set your priorities and decide in advance which bands you wanna see. they have an inflatable board thingie with the times on them. i'd bring a notepad or something to write them down with.  also, make sure you get there early because a lot of the headliners and stuff fill up pretty quick.  if you're going to mosh, make sure you know what you're doing first! there's a whole guide on how to mosh at wikihow.  that's all i can think of for now! above all, HAVE FUN!!!

The drawstring is good so your bag can close. Last year I brought a bag that didn't close and I had a h**l of a time keeping all of my stuff safe and in the bag.

Bring water. It is the one food/drink that they didn't confiscate from me, and believe me, you will need A LOT of water.

SUNSCREEN. If you are like me, you will need it, unless you like  looking like a tomato and feeling like you are on fire, you will be outside all day.

Make sure you bring enough money for food, their food is where Warped gets a large amount of its money, they like to make you pay.

As for going alone, this year I may be going alone, but from what I'm guessing is it wouldn't be too bad. There is ALWAYS something going on there to do. If there aren't any bands playing that you want to see you can go look at all the tents and browse/buy the merch. A lot of tents will be handing out free stuff too.

And also try to buy something, because it is really nice having things to remember it with. Also band merch is amazing.

Also they usually have bands' posters hung everywhere, if you see one you want, just take it down and put it in your bag. Very good token of Warped, and it's free.

You will have a ton of fun!

Oh and also make sure you wear something that you won't get too hot in, because you will be baking.

If it gets cold later, I recommend just buying a sweatshirt there if you have money, don't worry, the merch isn't usually very expensive. Last year I got an all time low sweatshirt for $20 after talking the guy selling them down to a lower price.

Oh and definitely bring a camera, you will want to take lots of pictures. Just be careful when using it in a crowd, it's easy to drop.
