Warped Tour Information??

Heyy, I am going to Warped Tour this summer and I was just wondering what it's like...if you've been please give me any information of what I should bring...what is best to wear...and just overall what is it like??

It's a really big concert and seems overwhelming at first but it's not as bad as it seems. It's HOT, and you will sweat and feel disgusting and run for the shower as soon as you get home lol. Basically, you get in and find the huge sign that lists the bands and when they're playing, and then you decide which bands you want to see. Some people say you should write down who you're seeing when, but I just take a picture of the sign. That way, I have the complete schedule if I change my mind about something, and I don't have to bother writing it down. Then you find the stage where your band is playing. There are about 6 stages, and 3 big ones. The bigger the band, the more likely it is that they'll be playing on a main stage, and the earlier you should get there so you can actually see them. If you plan on moshing, jump right into the front/middle. If not, keep back a little and back up with everyone else when they avoid the pit. When there aren't any bands playing that you want to listen to, walk around the venue. Check out the booths and buy merch like band shirts/cds or whatever. Merch is cheaper at warped tour, unlike the food. Water goes for $5 a bottle at my venue, and food is expensive too. You probably can't bring your own food, so you'll just have to deal with the prices. And you can't leave to go eat because there's no re-entry. You can bring water, but they'll take the cap off. If you plan on going to a band signing [which you'll only hear about through people], make sure to get there 45 min-1 hour ahead of time or you'll be stuck behind hundreds of people and you'll have to wait like 2 hours. You'll most likely have to sacrifice some things, if 2 of your bands are playing at the same time, so see the bands you like the best.

Once again-it's HOT. You can wear almost anything you like but the best idea is shorts/capris and a t-shirt/tank top. Don't wear colors that are too dark because you'll be in the sun. Don't bring a sweater-you won't need it, even at night. Don't wear sandals because you'll step on trash and get stepped on. Sneakers are really the only way to go. You should probably bring sunglasses and maybe a hat. And a hair-tie because your hair will get in your face and everything.

You should bring:

-a camera

-extra batteries for your camera [because they're expensive and hard to find at warped]

-sunblock [probably the most important thing because you WILL get burned if you don't]

-a sharpie [for random autographs and stuff]

-money [and lots of it because you'll go through it quickly, and make sure to reserve some for only food so you don't starve because you forgot to put some aside. if you bring it in a wallet, keep like 20-40 bucks somewhere else in case you lose it or it gets stolen]

-a backpack [to put all of the above in plus all the merch and stuff you get there. not a shoulder bag-the best idea is a backpack]

-cell phone [you should always have it anyway]

-toilet paper [there are really only port-a-potties and the t/p goes in like 20 min. and fem products if you're unlucky enough to get it on that day. go to the bathroom right before you get in because the port-a-potties are filthy]

-cd covers [if you want them autographed-i just get my program signed]

Don't bring anything too valuable because it's easy to break or lose things....

Yes there's alcohol and smoking and you cant get alcohol if you know people. But if you don't normally drink, this isn't the time to experiment. And let me tell you-being drunk at warped tour sucks big time lol.

And there's free stuff at stands and stuff but not too much. Buying merch is still the best route.
