  1. .  They could have you all finished in 3 hours.  They want to make sure that you haven't had any recent arrests.  Get over there.

  2. turn yourself in.  You are looking at 14 to 30 days. Good luck.

  3. A violation of probation warrant will cause you to sit in the local police lockup until the next day (your prints have to clear before they send you to court). Then you are sent to court. If it is a weekend or court holiday you go to holiday court and are normally held over until you can go to the judge whose probation you violated. Then that judge decides what to do with you. If you have been a good boy the judge can dump the violation, happens a lot. If the judge is pissed you go to jail for the rest of the time you have left, if really pissed they can add time.

    This is what you do:

On a weekday like a Tuesday go into a newer police station(the new ones have more comfortable cells and a phone in the cell and new fingerprint equipment) in Chicago (if you go other places it can take longer to get you to court) in the mid afternoon. Bring good picture ID and tell the desk officer that you think you have a warrant. They will run you or give you to another officer to do so and process you. You will get fingerprinted and photographed and sit in the lockup cell until morning and a bus will then take you to your court. In court you will likely get a public defender for the case. Be ready to show the PD that you have been a good boy, going to school and working and such so he can tell the judge.

Bottom line in less than 24 hours you will have your problem solved and have a good chance of not having further problems.
