Warrant that i didn't know about?

hey guys well i just found out today that i have a warrant but i was only questioned at the cop station (i was never arrested or ticketed for this) and the cop said he would call or mail me if i have to go to court but he never called or mailed or anything and i guess i had a court date that i didnt know about and i never went is there anything i can do to get it droped if they never sent me anything about this?/

Unfortunately, the burden is on you not he officers or the courts.  You don't say what the warrant is for.  Usually I would say to turn yourself in and take care of it right away.  Call the court and find oout when you should show up.  Not knowing details, you may want to check with an attorney.

There would need to be some type of charging instrument (citation, arrest, etc...) for you to have to go to court.  Just a phone call from a police officer is not enough to require someone to go to court.  So if you never received any citation or court documentation then you were not required to show up and you should be okay.

    Regarding the warrant issue, you can have a warrant issued for your arrest even though you were not arrested/cited.  It happens all the time.  Just because you were interviewed and not arrested doesn't mean that the officer did not have probable cause that you committed a crime.

    The officer may have been waiting for more information before pursing the warrant...
